ASDA is fair parking fees?

my local shop ASDA Brighton Marina now charges for parking. £ 1 for an hour or £ 2 for 2.5 hours. You get your money back if you buy and spend more than £ 5.00 if you remember to hand in your ticket. But what I'm confused is around the car park of Asda signs saying do not hold any responsibility for theft or damage to your car. My question is, if im paying ASDA to park my car in their parking they certainly must have some resposibility if little grass went around with a hammer and brakes in our cars. If not, why charge us to park there. The next thing you know they want us to leave the purse behind the counter wives to avoid while shoplifting and returen find its content disappeared asda say it is not our responsibility. I think it quite right - obviously the people came to the Asda car park for hours to use the other facilities of the marina and Asda are to ensure that unless they provide something of parking spaces. It costs them lost money to provide parking in terms - there is the cost of workforce the soil, asphalt and there is also loss of income they face - that the space could be a store for example which would be much more profitable.
