Physics Rubber Band Car Project?
I need help creating a car of the rubber band with these guidelines: Party on the vehicle 1. Create a vehicle powered with elastic travel that will be the greatest distance in a straight line in Class 2. you may use two rubber bands 3. No slings, motors, mousetraps, springs or 4. any other material that appears below must be approved by your teacher 5. must be handmade, store bought any wheels or propellers 6. at least part of your vehicle must begin and remain on the ground at all times approved Materials ankle Pencil Shavings-coils, corrugated cartons, film-cans of soda-construction paper-Glue-Index cards-pipe-Popsicle sticks Mine needs to go far ... the only way to get 100% is to have your car travel the longest distance in the class.
I did a project like this year physics unless it was a mousetrap car. When I came in 2nd place i realized I should have used rubber bands instead of string. go to Office Depot and find the longest and strongest (most important) rubber bands, you can find. I think you should use the tapes rubber tied together in a node basis. bring a pencil or dowel rod stick a bit and put the rubber band around the vertical rod (make sure it is not possible, he is coming off). next mark two parallel lines for your axles and then make a kind of tricycle with 1 roll in front and one in the back. make sure they are parallel as possible. wind the thing up and make sure it will.
